FAQ
Do I have to drop my Candid Seal to use DowUrk?
No — and please don't. Keep your Candid Seal. Candid verifies the organization. DowUrk verifies the program and participants inside it. Two layers. One stack. Both required.
What does "Open Badge v2.0" actually mean?
Open Badge v2.0 is an IMS Global standard for digital credentials — the same spec used by IBM, Microsoft, and state workforce agencies. Each badge is a verifiable JSON-LD document with cryptographic identity hashing. Any funder can GET your public verification URL and confirm the credential is real, who issued it, and what criteria were met.
What funders are DowUrk credentials mapped to?
Growth and Anchor tiers include outcome mapping to WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act), CDBG (Community Development Block Grant), EDA Economic Development Assistance Programs, AmeriCorps, and CNCS National Service programs. Custom mappings are included in Anchor.
Can I migrate existing alumni / cohort data?
Yes. Growth includes one-time CSV import. Anchor includes full data migration from Salesforce, Apricot, Submittable, or any structured source.
What happens to my credentials if I cancel?
Issued credentials remain publicly verifiable forever at our hosted URLs. You can also self-host — all Open Badge v2.0 JSON-LD documents are yours to archive.
